More Info
Alison is a designer, photographer, and artist whose work explores perception, light, and the ways we see the world. Rooted in deconstruction and reconstruction, her practice begins with photography as a foundation for broader artistic exploration. With an established career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director, Alison integrates traditional design methodologies with contemporary techniques, blending old processes with new ideas. Drawing on life experiences, her compositions reflect a balance between structured design and an evolving, experimental approach.
In her studio, she is currently delving deeper into personal creative practice, working with encaustic wax and mixed media to push artistic boundaries. This shift marks an exciting new phase—one that embraces fluidity, texture, and the unexpected.
The sea is a constant source of inspiration, a place for reflection and creative clarity. While not always physically by the water, the spirit of the sea informs her work. The Sea Shed Studio, a fluid and evolving creative space, serves as a hub for exploration and artistic growth.
Earning an MA after years in the industry was a transformative experience, reshaping how she thinks and approaches her work. This ongoing journey continues to inform her ever-evolving artistic practice.
