Earth Tones Ceramics

More Info

With a love of plants and influenced by the natural environment of the Forest of Dean I create decorative pottery, vases, and planters.

I am always experimenting with different forms and glazes and am excited to see what will come out of the kiln next. Some pots are thrown and dappled unevenly with glaze, while others are slab and coil built into organic shapes. All pots are fired to a high temperature and are suitable for outdoor or indoor use.

“Forest Stone” – Organic planters, bowls and bird baths reflecting the colours of weathered forest stone.

“Blue Bells” – Vases and bowls thrown in stoneware with overlapping glazes to reveal speckles of blue.

“Forest Trails” – Vases are gas-fired to bring out a deep brown hue in the unglazed clay and speckles of iron in the trailed glazes.

“Lichen and Moss” – Bud vases and bowls in mossy green and lichen white to display one-off blooms.

Flower Frogs – Matched with bowls and vases, ceramic flower frogs provide holes for holding fresh or dried stems in place without the need for a spikey pin holder.

I am still learning and experimenting with clay and delving into printmaking to help inform future designs.
