I paint mostly in oils from observation and particularly enjoy working on portraits. Landscapes and flowers come close seconds, in all subjects I’m trying to capture the essential qualities of character, light or form rather than photographic accuracy. I like to move between media and subject matter and experiment with other techniques including printmaking and collage. Since leaving secondary school teaching I’ve been leading an art group at Blaisdon for the last eleven years and find it a constant source of inspiration and creativity on Monday mornings.Contact Details
