Jane paints in a spontaneous, intuitive & expressive manner exploring shape, line and colour. She works on wooden substrates building up many layers using hot or cold wax with oils, oils sticks, crayons, collage, then scrapes back into the piece revealing its history and depth. She often explores words, text & motifs. Manipulation of the surface is key to the textural quality of her semi-abstract works.
