My work is a study of nature, evidence of a lifelong obsession with plants and flowers. Seeking to imitate nature and preserve a moment in time forever in metal. Exploring the endless diversity of form and intensity of colour, magnifying the fine details.I find steel to be the most enticing and challenging of materials, enjoying the dichotomy of transforming an industrial, hard material into something satisfyingly free, fluid and graceful, devoid of straight lines and uniformity, using the skilful balance of heat, force and precision.
Sculpture is individually handmade in a variety of scales, for private and public clients. Including The Open University, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity Trust, Friends of Saintbridge Pond and Nature Reserve, and most recently Monmouth Town Council.
