I have been doing Silk Painting for over 20 years and still always enjoy the way the dyes and paints flow through the fabric. I use many techniques to produce my work from wax batik to gutta and layering.I like to make jewellery and wearable art including scarves.
Some of the scarves are eco dye which is a way of integrating natural dyes and pigments from my garden onto ready-made scarves.
Some of the larger scarves are made using Japanese techniques such as Arashi Shibori. This gives a pleated finish to the silk.
