i enjoy painting the natural world, I get reeled in by the environment around me for inspiration - contrasts in light and shade especially . I'm re-exploring life drawing and am starting some new paintings including figures in the landscape.I work mainly in oil paint – but enjoy the immediacy of acrylics too. I enjoy working on commissions too, whether a beloved pet portrait or a landscape that has a special meaning, it's a great feeling when a finished piece is handed to the person and I see how much they love it!
