Paula's work is a celebration of nature's fleeting beauty, crafted on an ever-changing canvas. She invites conversations between bees wax and fire, alongside botanical printmaking.

Paula is an encaustic artist, whose mini landscape bud vases and art, explore the relationship between memory, place, and the natural world. Inspired by the Forest of Dean and the subtle shifts of colour throughout the seasons, her work reflects the changing light, erosion, and quiet transformation found in nature. The shifting colours, temperatures, and atmosphere, shape the way she builds and layers wax, translating these quiet transformations into tactile objects that feel both intimate and enduring.

Each bud vase becomes a personal keepsake, a miniature landscape that holds a moment in time, inviting reflection and connection. Both functional and contemplative, her vases are designed to hold a single stem or remain as stand-alone objects, bringing a sense of calm, nature, and timelessness into the home.

Paula's wax paintings fuel her passion to explore texture and atmosphere, that expresses the soul of the landscape that inspires her. Each piece invites a closer look, revealing hidden layers of colour, mark making and meaning. Blending organic textures, botanical elements and layered pigments, creating art that feels ethereal with timeless elegance. Paula's style varies from canvas to canvas, incorporating a mix of mono and eco-prints, ephemera, recycled tea bags and oil paints, to bring depth and movement.

Wax is associated with a 16th Wedding Anniversary, so sealing a poem or love quote, allows her to become personally and emotionally involved. These mementos are captured, sealed, and, only revealed when there is a desire to do so.

Paula also experiments with an old-aged photography process, called cyanotypes. Using both botanical plant material and the natural sun, her creations invite others to connect with the elegance of flowers and sustainable artistry. She produces one-of-a-kind impressions, that are not merely visual; they are tactile and evocative. The intricate veins of a leaf, or the soft curves of petals are preserved in breathtaking detail, a testament to nature's artistry.
