Just out of reach, in my mind’s eye, is the painting I want to paint. Every painting is an exploration of a feeling about a particular time and place.
I have always had this impulse to make marks. Mark making is a strong element in my paintings.
I am inspired to paint the wilder spectrum of landscapes, from Pembrokeshire, Wales to Svalbard, Norway. Some of my current landscape paintings are inspired by sunrises.
I am currently working in oil paint, but I also use acrylic and encaustic.
For 10 years I have been a member of the Art and Craft Cooperative, Made in Ross. Our gallery is upstairs in The Market House, Ross-on-Wye. We are open every day, 10am to 4pm. During FAR Open we are open 10am to 5pm. There will always be one of us makers there to greet you.
