Membership Registration 2026/27

Eligibility

Artists wishing to become members and participate in the art trail must reside roughly within the boundary of the Forest of Dean District Council. Please note, current members are exempt from this. 

 

Why join?

Together we build a thriving artist community, create more visibility for our artwork and attract more collectors. The farOpen network generates year round awareness of local artists, artworks, workshops, galleries to help artists flourish.

Membership terms  

Membership runs from 1 April to 31 March annually. Please register on the website.

• Annual Membership is £35 a year, giving you:
  • your own webpage on the farOpen website, increasing your online visibility 
  • inclusion in farOpen Facebook and Instagram campaigns through our social media team
  • your news and workshops in monthly newsletters to farOpen subscribers and local press
  • inclusion in farOpen exhibitions, open to all farOpen members, each exhibition will be offered to members separately by our exhibition organiser, Gina Nell, via her email farOpen.Exhibitions
  • membership of the farOpen Peer Group WhatsApp
  • monthly coffee mornings 

There are two forms to complete

the annual membership registration on this website,

please use the new or renew process as appropriate.

• As a new member please complete the form on this page, proceed to payment, pay, and you will be sent a link to create your profile and gallery. 

Please first sign up as a farOpen member by completing the form on this page step by step. If you plan to be a venue on the art trail you MUST complete the address part. For this first stage you will need:

your website text,

at least one image to upload, but as many as you wish, upload your main image first,

your social media links 

your website

a payment card.

You will receive confirmation of your membership registration on completion and a link to upload your text and images. Bear in mind single images display better than composite ones. AND upload your main image first, then as many others as you wish.

make any changes as necessary, you will have to upload new images, always upload your main image first, followed by as many as you wish, but at least one i

The deadline for both registrations is 16 March 2026.

Art Trail Registration

Once registered as a farOpen Member you can take part in the annual Art Trail - the registration process is separate and the link is below.  

• open to practising artists only
• you must only have members' work on sale
• be present in one studio/joint studio only
• open 10-4 every day of the trail

Solo art trail participation costs £35 annual membership (paid through the website registration) plus £70 for the brochure entry. 

The brochure entry consists of the brochure text and one image, a third of an A5 landscape brochure page. 

Shared art trail participation, all sharing must be farOpen members. All at the venue then share the cost of the brochure entry, 1/3 of a brochure page, 1 image. 

MORE SPACE for text and images can be purchased at £70 per 1/3 of a page, giving space for more images/text..
